Goals:

1. To develop and promote interest in rug making techniques.
2. To maintain high standards and encourage creativity in the art.
3. To provide the means for an exchange of ideas and information among members.
4. To promote educational activities to improve the quality of rug making techniques.

In the past we have visited a museum to view a collection of old rugs, visited rug hooking teachers, demonstrated rug hooking at a local quilt show and ag expo , taught a local group of girl scouts how to hook and provided them with supplies all in trying to meet our goals. We host a three day workshop with a teacher, voted on by members, once a year. We also host local teachers at our regular meeting occasionally for a “trunk show” or to talk about a specific topic.
